Lightning strikes, downed trees reported in York County

Heavy rains caused several reports of downed trees and flooded roadways throughout York County. York Area United Fire and Rescue Services responded just before 8 p.m. to a home on Edgewood Road in Springettsbury Township where a tree had been struck by lightening.  Full Story

Weis plans to open its first beer cafe in York County by fall

Weis Markets' planned beer cafe at its store at 1800 Roosevelt Ave. in West Manchester Township is expected to open by the fall, pending final approval by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, a Weis spokesman said Friday. Full Story
