The grass at Soveriegn Bank Stadium needs to be mowed to the precise height of 1 inches. The infield dirt will have to be raked and watered, then raked and watered again.
The bases need to be painted the brightest shade of white, and the basepaths will need to be lined with chalk, as straight as an arrow.
Head groundskeeper Brandon Putman and his crew will complete these and myriad other tasks just in time to watch the York Revolution trample the masterpiece, to the delight of thousands of York baseball fans.
After the last out is called, the crew will soon be back to work - mowing, raking, watering, painting and lining. There's another game tomorrow, after all.
